A True Christmas

So many people these days forget about the important parts of the holidays. I was just in the mall recently and these people are CRAZY. The lines are so long, it is all about the presents for a lot of people during Christmas time, which makes me sad. It is nice to have something to open up in the morning but we all need to remember the true reason of Christmas. Not going to lie, sometimes I get caught up in the gift giving and receiving. But this Christmas has really got me thinking. There are some things happening in my family right now, and it has made me really think about how important this time of the year is for family. My family is the most important thing in my life and without them I do not think I would be able to survive. It is so important for you to remember to spend quality time with your family, while you get the chance (as morbid as that sounds). I look back and the best memories of my Christmas’ are not the presents I receive, it is the time I spend with my family around the dinner table enjoying our meal together. So many laughs, it is just such a happy time. This is why I love the holiday season, not for the gifts, but because I get to see the people I love and spend time with them and make the best memories. It is a time to reflect on your year and realize how lucky you are to be on this earth and how fortunate you are to be surrounded by those who love and support you. Whether that be your family, your cat, or your dog, there is always some one there who cares and is there for you. This is why Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I am so thankful that God gave me the family I have, no matter where we will be for Christmas this year, I know we will have great memories to look back on. Please just remember what the true meaning of the holiday season is, and try not to get caught up in “oooo I got this and I got that” but instead spending time with your loved ones.

That is all and I hope you all have a great Christmas.
